G'day Blacky, just read through this amazing build, well done!
Just wondering, is the start of the build on the forum some where? Would love to see, read that too.
Once again, well done and keep going.
Thanks.

Re: The loooonnng term EK 2 door project
I don't know if it is mate, I actually started building this thing before the forum existed and before I had a computer - I did take a couple of photos when it was in the shed where I started building it but I don't think it ever ended up on here.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Thanks, thought that may have been the case. Few questions if you don't mind. Did you use the rod shop chassis and how much did you lengthen the doors by? They look longer than other conversions, easier to get in and out of the back. Did you ever consider lengthening the body, through center and rear section?
Also the modification for the door trims is excellent to see done, I was just looking at my scrap ute doors and thinking of the same modification 4 days ago, as well as working out how to trim the tops like on HK and later doors
Once again a great build and thanks!

There IS a rod shop chassis kit under it , not sure if it will stay or if I remove it and do something less agricultural when its on the rotisserie and the tubs and rear end are done. Doors are lengthened 8" - pretty much all the conversions I have seen - and there are plenty nowadays - are between 6-8" extended, I did see one where he had gone 10" and THAT looked too long........ in my eyes a 6" extension looks too short from the rear 3/4 view so I went with 8"
I was kicking around the idea of widening the body rather than lengthening it but custom front and rear glass would be in the ballpark of $10k so nope - this body uses a stock rear screen and a cut down front one so glass is cheap.
