T5 conversion ?

hey, just looking at powerplant options for my son's FB, it was registered here with a red and 5 speed Toyota (which seem to be getting thin on the ground) reading elsewhere people were saying the Falcon T5 into Torana's but by the looks of them they are a big unit and would need more work then a To...

Beach Hop

Hey All, the guys from the FX-EK (F series) owners group on Facebook are talking about having a gathering at the pack on Breach road, 401 Beach Road, Whangamata Sat 2nd April at 12.30.
Hope to see some interesting old Holden's there this year.

Kumeu ?

Hey all, who is heading up to Kumeu ?
I will be working there (on the CFR Line stand, talking car shipping) just for a change, but look forward to getting out and about to see what's there .
Feel free to drop by and say hi, I should have a chilly bin full of cold drinks too.

Re: V8 Info threads

I used to wonder about rover/P76 V8 into an FB/EK does anyone know if its been done, I figured with the light weight and buildable power they might be a good fit. These days its about as retro as using a red vs the options available now but still interested if anyone had.

Re: Its Time to clean up the FB

that would have to be pretty close to the best original one about you would think, most here in NZ have a bunch more rot then that. I would go down the clean it up as much as you can while leaving original road as much as you can if I were you, otherwise you are in for a ton of time and money to act...

Re: FB Auckland

looking at the old Plates on it reminded me my dad used to know all the local ones as the different area post offices got different sequences when they changed to black and silver I remember him telling my brother that his EK was from Waiuku and from memory the FB was Pukekohe or similar too.

Re: Went for a drive to Horopito Motors

the big ash fall from Ruepehu a couple of years back apparently did a lot of damage with accelerating the rust there, I haven't taken a good look in ages.

You want to be carefull or I might get you looking at cars in Houston (I ship cars for a job and often have people wanting stuff looked at in the USA, me included).

Re: ROTORUA SWAPMEET

Nice to meet you on the weekend, figure I better grab those door cards my friends had, you don't know anyone looking for a rear seat for a wagon ?
Just unpacked an FX out of Aussie this morning and booked an FE ute to come over from Melbourne for a customer.
