Just remembered I have bulk CRC in my company’s workshop so maybe that’s the go first

The tank is sound, no holes so I had been thinking of pouring a few letters of fuel in and give it a good swirl around drain it and some CRC if needed after that or maybe visa versa

So my 600g of citric powder seems to have been ok
Before After 5 days, amazing Do I need to coat it? The baffle in the middle of the tank may make that hard.

Congrats mate now leave the thing alone and just drive it bloody modifiers

Went to Coles yesterday to try to get some citric acid, they only had little 75g packets so I bought 8 (600g) put it in the tank a filled it, I think it’s not going to be strong enough but I’ll leave it for a week or so and ...

Cheers Blacky how much do you think I would need to put in the tank, my idea obviously is to fill the tank and just let it soak.

Clay do you reckon I do a citric clean out of the fuel tank, never used citric acid to do this sort of think before.

Amateur that I am went to fit the mounting ring for the pump, made my first cut to find that there is a baffle across the tank not w quite in the middle, repair number one to said tank.

Mr Black solved the filter sock issue apparently the filter is in the bottom of the pump housing, of course Blacky pulled his apart to see how it worked

Happy days my fuel pump arrived but it doesn't come with a filter sock which I assume I have to put onto the inlet pipe.

Hi Greg, Frank runs a VP steel tank with the standard in tank fuel pump makes it easy to replace the pump if it fails instead of having some custom or hard to get part suppose same as using the VE pump as Blacky said you can get them almost anywhere and they are cheap I think the one I have coming ...
