I did a lot of similar things to my motor, I used 350 chev valve springs that have around 85lb pressure. My car makes 105 rwhp with twin stromburgs

Hey austmod, I was messed around by windmill as well, when you said that was where the car was I was going to say something but didn't want to worry you. My daily went back there 5 times before it was acceptable, in the end I had to get the RAC involved to oversee the repairs. So much for an RAC ...

Notice the dealer plates....I think it might be an interstate buy that is having some licencing problems..... I know OLDSKULE had to jump through a few hoops when his car got here because it seems what is safe and roadworthy in the east crosses the nullabor it becomes a hoons death trap. :evil ...

I made all of the mods you mentioned, my motor was fully balanced and the head was ported extensively, both the manifolds are port matched, steel timing gear big valves, higher comp etc etc.

It sounds great but don't expect a race car.....hahahaha

My grey cost me 6 grand but that was with all of the go fast gear in it. I would say you would be looking at the 3 grand mark for a stock rebuild if you do the install.

The guy that built mine has retired but there is a company in nedlands called Hine Motors that have done some old school MG ...

carbies are fixed....i'm in.

Sounds like fun...I'll get those carbys fixed asap....

I'll take some photos tomorrow and mail them to you.... not sure what i bought, it was about 4 years ago, but at least then you can show the photo to a carby guy.
