Hey Gaz
Just getting around to doing my conversion and got the red motor bracket. Just wondering if you can give me all the measurements of your fabricated bits so I can get it absolutely perfectly made?
Thanks
Bec

Re: Generator to alternator conversion
Well duh I haven't made the bracket yet, I'm not that much of a girl! What I meant to say is I've lined someone up to make me one once I sort the alternator out.
So any ideas?

Re: Generator to alternator conversion
Thanks! I have managed to get a friend to make me a bracket!
Now I just need to find out what the right alternator is. Anyone know if that link to one is suitable?

Re: Generator to alternator conversion
Jeepers that's almost the price of the alternator!
I'm hoping I can convince a friend to make one for me
Does the link for the alternator look right?

Re: Generator to alternator conversion
Hey guys, Been having problems with the old generator recharging, so I've decided I need to do the alternator conversion. I'm just running the old grey in it and just wondering how to go about it. Does this look suitable? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2501-ALTERNATOR-NEW-HOLDEN-KINGSWOOD-HZ-HX-HJ-HQ-HG...

Re: Banjo Diff Centre 2.78
It's all too hard!
How much should I be looking at paying? This guy is obviously not a reputable seller in all your eyes and I'd rather not give him the time of day if that's the case.

Re: Banjo Diff Centre 2.78
Wow so much information! You guys are going to be a great help to me!
So looks like I should be going with a 3.55.
And I have to change the yoke on the tailshaft? Is that something that's easy to get? Through rarespares and the like or is it also something that is rare?

Re: Banjo Diff Centre 2.78
Thanks guys!
Someone recommended that's what I go to, as I've mentioned before I really have no clue and still learning.
So any idea where I'd get either of those? Anyone got one lying around?

Re: Banjo Diff Centre 2.78
Hope you've got something with some decent torque in front of those gears. It'll be an absolute pig to get moving otherwise! I got a 3:36 centre from here http://harveywreckers.com.au/ many moons ago. Or you could try http://www.dinkumautos.com.au/index.php bit closer as they're only in Moorabbin. ...

Front right indicator not working
Hi all, Guess I should start by introducing myself. I'm Bec and Shirley is my '61 EK I've had only a few months. I've spoken to a few of you over Instagram already. As I'm knew to this whole owning an old car game, I'm going to be relying on you lot loads! And I'm probably going to ask really stupid...
