All I can find about these front ends is info from the shop itself - they tell me they have sold heaps of them but I can't find anyone who has bought, installed and driven one. Don't want to spend the money and end up with CRS ...

That looks like a low compression engine anyway.
327 from that era are normally small journal steel crank, the block is the key here, 2 bolt small journal and 4 inch bore. Not easy to find.
Greg
Yeah its atruck engine, has the governor built into the dizzy and the low comp. heads - perfect ...

Greg
The reason I put that in was to break up the line that runs from front to rear , one of the pics of Greg Wiltons car that I remember seeing in a ...

Thinking about one for the 2 door - either this or a Rodtech , trying to find someone who has actually installed one and driven the car with one to see what problems they had with them.

Got bored the other day and pulled the 327 down to see why it had no compression on a couple of pots -

Part 1 complete - set of reasonably good condition brakes with uprights and steering arms sourced. Might be time to knock up a molasses tank

Re: front brake upgrade: semi-huck to duo-servo
Got a lead on a set of brakes and stub axles on an EH wreck over here for a bottle of Wild Turkey - going to check them out Friday. Plan will be to unbolt the whole shebang from upper and lower wishbones and get all the bits in one go.

Re: front brake upgrade: semi-huck to duo-servo
I have been asking around over here for a set of HD king pin brakes, stubs and steering arms but they are unobtanuim ..... which is hardly surprising.

I put one on my ute - didn't really make a huge difference - guess if the subframe was rusty or fatigued it might make more of an improvement ?
