Re: FB ute

It was only leaving a 20c piece spot on the floor so I thought that’s about as good as it’s ever gonna get but after a drive around town yesterday there is a 6” puddle under it 😣

Looks like it is coming out of the input shaft plus a bit out of the selector shaft - good news is it’s not coming out of the output shaft so I got one right [emoji1787][emoji1787]

Re: front brake upgrade: semi-huck to duo-servo

Stripped down, no real surprises- has lost a wheel on the passenger’s side at some stage in the last 60 years had a hell of a time getting this drum off - a bit of heat and a FBH got the job done

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute

If you stick with a stock diff there are plenty of spares around if you do happen to do an axle, if you go Torana diff to get more dish on your wheels pretty sure there are aftermarket axles available for them.

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute

Agree with Clay re the caliper.

What engine are you running ? A 9" is overkill unless you are planning on a 400+hp donk and sticky tyres

Re: Anyone use one of these or know someone who has??

Do you know of the shop that builds them Greg ? Is it part of OzRods ? All I can find about these front ends is info from the shop itself - they tell me they have sold heaps of them but I can't find anyone who has bought, installed and driven one. Don't want to spend the money and end up with CRS ...

Re: Oops I did it again…

That looks like a low compression engine anyway.

327 from that era are normally small journal steel crank, the block is the key here, 2 bolt small journal and 4 inch bore. Not easy to find.

Yeah its atruck engine, has the governor built into the dizzy and the low comp. heads - perfect ...

Thinking about one for the 2 door - either this or a Rodtech , trying to find someone who has actually installed one and driven the car with one to see what problems they had with them.
