Re: Sunvisor hardware

It was about 5mm gap each end. Ill let you know how I go reshaping them. The bigger dilemma for me at the moment is how to remove the aluminium trim so I can polish it and paint the visor.

Re: Sunvisor hardware

Its actually not as far out as I thought it was. I think I will form a bit of 10mm plate to the same shape as the roof then heat the rib of the bracket up and pull it around on my jig to get the shape.

New world problem I know, but any recomendations for a phone holder for EK dashboards? Need one for Barney. Gidday Brett, I have mocked up a prototype ash tray. Somehow found room for a Gauge, USB outlet and a Quadlock ball mount. I had to cut the guts out of it and lower the base to get it all to ...

Not sure, Oz, maybe something to do with rigidity or torsional strength or something. You know how it is. One day its ok and next it doesn't c...

Re: Micks chopped & tubbed ute

Well Blacky, I think thats sort of what happens when you take so long to build a car like I have, ideas change bits go missin, rules change, new parts and accessories coming out all the time. In the case of the rocker covers, the engineer made us fill in the sump cut-out in the crossmember for some ...

Re: Micks chopped & tubbed ute

Onya Harv, Thanks for that. I spose just cause they have different part numbers doesn't necessarily mean they are different parts. I want to order a pair of Billet Bonnet hinges but they only make em for EH and up. I cant really see any difference in them so I recon ill go ahead and order them anywa...

Re: Micks chopped & tubbed ute

Oops.. I have one of each here and they seem to be identical but maybe the EH one I have is not actually EH. Is it just the inner guard bracket that maybe different or is it completely different and more like a HR one.
