Haha, I love your thinks about a plot. I am with you.
Bring on 300 pages mate and may the last few be full of pleasure with only the odd hiccup that you will solve and resolve.
Cheers Rod

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Hi Clay.
I went through a somewhat similar exercise over ten years ago where I thought I had a noise coming from the harmonic balancer. I changed it out because it was loose, but the noise was still present until I identified there was significant end play issues with the distributor which was ...

Hi Clay.
I know exactly what you mean. Been there done that with the stuck accelerator. Consider sticking Velcro on the back of the kick panel.

Re: Horn contacts
Hi I have previously purchased the falcon contact. These are the dimensions. Overall length - 23.5mm, length of contact - 11.3mm and diameter of contact - 4.8mm.
All of the dimensions are comparable to the holden contact except the diameter of the contact. The falcon one is too narrow - 4.8mm ...

Re: Clay's Fabulous Big Exciting Kooky adventure
What a trip Clay. I have delighted in following your journey from start to finish and the little challenges in between. It was great to see you travel through the Mallee in country Victoria - my old stomping ground. It must have been a thrill to drive through this area where the ute was originally ...

Re: Fuel issue
Have a look at this Youtube clip. Graeme starts a grey in an EJ that has been idle for at least 15 years. He problem solves a similar issue which ends up been a gummed up pick up tube possible caused by old petrol. He uses a vacuum tool to suck up the fuel from the tank. No need for the VB mouth rinse-haha.

By the way if you are interested in rust repairs this bloke is brilliant. A lot of his work is on &*#@ Coupes but does other makes as well. He is in South Oz. I always look forward to his new video releases. By the way the video link above was only released today. Seems quite timely.

Re: Fuel issue
How is the valve in the fuel cap? I would take the cap off and see if it will now pump fuel. A very simple and quick test. The valve might be blocked or collasped.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Just a random though Clay but pull the other bolt out of the rod of the cylinder you are installing. Then compare that to the 149 bolt using a venier. Measure length, diameter of shaft, length / thickness of head, length of thread, length of knurls etc... If they all are comparable, I recon the ...

Keep up the great work Clay! You got to 200 pages (must be a world record) and a well on the way to the next milestone. All threads have added to the overall collective knowledge and understanding of our old holdens. Keep at it.
