Re: 22inch Ek

Hey mate,

The way your top arms are set up, they will hold the differential in the central position, so no need for a panhard bar. The problem is, as you said, when you move the diff up one side and down on the other (Ie cornering), the top arms are going to twist and bind the suspension, hence ...

Re: 22inch Ek

Hi Kidd,

How much suspension travel will this have in the rear. With the angle of the top arms so different to the angle of the lower arms, the pinion angle is going to change dramatically with any suspension travel at all. Its going to bind itself up on cornering, and I cant see any engineer ...

Hi Garry,

Up till now I can't fault anything you have done. Great job.

But that Panhard Bar will give you problems. You indicated that the diff will move 4.5mm from full extension to full compression. That in itself is too much, but have you checked sideways movement on uneven travel, meaning one ...

Hey Gary

Panhard bars are old school. I'm with SC. A Watts linkage will keep the differential assembly central, which this car will need given the size of the rear wheels. A panhard bar, however adjusted, will always move the differential from side to side, dependent on rear suspension up and down ...

Explained perfectly

We started using four link and five link rear ends in V8 Supercars 15 years ago. They allow so much adjustment and give impecable handling when set up correctly. Have you thought about a Watts link instead of a panhard bar, will give more even travel side to side.

Unbelievable ...

This build has got me even more enthralled than Mal's build. Unbelievable workmanship and attention to detail.

Congratulations on an awesome job.

Kind regards,

Yep, I should have clarified. You were both banned, but you were allowed back , Bec wasn't.
And there were pretty severe threats involved from memory??
You do need to read the posts again, she did attack the "majority" of forum members, I just didn't put myself in that bracket.
I do remember lots of ...

As for Rebecca's posts being directed at all of us, maybe the mods need to put the posts back up. I remember them pretty well, and they all signalled out the people she had a beef with.
Funny how there were certain threats being thrown back AND forth, but only Rebecca was banned from the forum.
Sour ...

I can't understand what all the fuss is about. I have had dealings with Rebecca and have never had a problem with her. I found her to be straight to the point and a heap of fun to be around.

Bottom line is, her car is rather cool, and she does do top shelf photo shoots.

Hi
Extractors off a red motor will not fit a blue motor. The stud positions in the head are in different positions.
