Just acknowledging what everyone is saying here. It's very skilled work technically. Not my cup of tea. You took the words right out of my mouth Billy. Neither is Summernats or the show car scene but I don't bag it, on here at least.
I think Harv's point is that there is a general rule on this ...

quite possibly the single biggest waste of time in automotive history. 11,000 + hrs
impression was built in 12,000 hrs, and look at the lines on that car.

the proportions are all wrong, the idea to use a late model (R33 skyline) cab to begin with is $*#@ stupid. followed by the most horrible color ...

Its not too bad, there's one decent kink in the middle of the skin, but i should be able to shrink that down.

Good luck with the project and look forward to seeing some pics. Sounds like your going to be busy for the next 3 months. It takes me 3 months to get organised to change the oil on my ute!

Here is the boot lid I started with. I definitely know its the wrong way to start doing the panels first, but as I said, i haven't picked up the body yet, so I'm just doing what I can until I have more room in the shop, and time to go get the body.

are you going to lean the B pillar forward or is that a bit of artistic licence ? We were considering it for my 2 door but decided not to . That WILL be a fast build if you can pull it off !!! You got 3 months off work or something ?

you are right, house of kolor does fade. has the spray cheif retained its depth? 5 coats of candy is a bit much, but if it hasnt had any dramas at all, then i guess it doesnt matter...

the best base to use is a simalar color of which color candy you are using. im not going to reveal ...
