Re: Rebuilding of Old Timer (EK wagon)

Wow Stewart i haven't been on here for quite a while your efforts are worthy of an award just for the dedication because of it's history alone but the level of quality and commitement are something you should be very proud of. Good to see your young bloke getting involved to he will look back when h...

Re: Seat options eg Rodeo

Dave,
i used a bench seat out of a 94 &*#@ courier or mazda bravo same thing anyway. Good sturdy seat with slight cut out for gear shift. Slightly narrower than original seat from memory.
I just had some ally blocks machined up to suit seat mountings and original floor mounting points.

Re: Number plates at the nats..

Some good combos there. I wonder how many of these plates were purchased and fitted to cars before all the greedy RTA'S started charging us for using our brains and expressing these combinations on our chosen vehicles. Thankfully i got all mine years ago and will never let them go !! they do but som...

What a great story. Same car for fifty years, i doubt if a current 2010 holden will be in the same situation in fifty years still registered let alone with the same owner. He kind of reminds me of my grandfather with his ek van that was left to me. :) With the upcoming Nationals celebrating fifty ye...

Steve
is that Matthew Snashell's ?
The side window really is an odd one isn't it ?
The glass would look better at the rear so it matches the curve , profile of the van.
Good original old bus hey.

Great group of cars in this class i found these the hardest one's to judge. I'm suprised that there was not a 4th place for the EK modified's as there were plenty of them. I'm also suprised that Dark blue metallic sedan ( SEDLAN ) didn't get a trophy. ( just my opion ) Many varying modifications to ...

Malcolm,

well done on your results in Yamba.
It is all worth the hard work and hassle in the end even though sometimes you think it isn't.
After seeing it in the flesh and now these great shots you should be able to relax and just enjoy. :)

CRS Drop stubs install advice.

I am currently installing my crs drop spindles and i'm after some advice.
Does the brake backing plate need to be refitted as it does not seem to fit the larger crs drop spindles ?
Or do they require modification to fit ?
If not i'm guessing you just leave them out ?

Thanks

Malcolm, Looking good in colour finally ! I think this car will be a standout at the nationals. Regardless of the final colour choice. Which so far seems to be a ggod choice. :) Hope the rest of the painting goes to plan. Just watch out for all those insects and bugs they like the yellow and white c...

SCK, ride height looks spot on 8) I assume you have the CRS HR 2'' drop spindles fitted ? If so what springs did you put back into front end, standard or lowered type ? As i will be fitting some crs drop spindles that i bought i was just wondering what you'd used. What rim / tyre width are you runni...

Great idea and progress Stewart, just a thought to save you some work asking members what colour this car is for example. Would it be possible to put an area in each members profile that they could post the colour of there car ( written statement ) and this would then match there avatar. Possibly sa...
