Hi Neil,
Actually I was refering to what pump and tank you used in the ute, also I have just realised you are using the VE pump, similar to the &*#@ BA design.
So you shouldn't have much of an issue. Blacky's metal plate install is also good.

Re: Neil's FB Station Wagon
I suffered lots of fuel surge with a normal tank, ironically not from foward or rear movement but from cornering.
The first nats I went to, actually the non nats I had all sorts of problems. If the tank got under half way then the fuel slosh uncovering the pick up and create a no fuel situation and ...

I hate this shit, it has happened to me as well !
You cannot trust anyone these days and it appears the more you want it right the worse it gets, hence doing everything youself.
The perfectionist in the modern world struggles I must admit.

When i buy a car the rust never scares me, although I would balk at the roof bubbles.
Once the cowl lets go the water just fills the floors so rust it is.
Good your crazy enough to look past these little issues Blacky.

I was wondering what SA rego guys think about batteries in boots?
Be interesting to see. Most places accept them provifed they are well bolted down, some want a battery box (to stop the groceries shorting stuff out), some want the box sealed and a vent tube down through the floor pan.
Cheers ...

Blacky,
Your alternator a single wire ? Most alternators need a load to start them off, normally achieved by an aternator light. That excites them to begin charging, I have a feeling you already know this so ill stop there.
Getting everything to work as it should from the get go is the hardest ...

Good one Blacky,
Always rewarding when an engine fires up after a rebuild.
Lets just hope any smoke is residual, although your muffler might contain a litre or two !!!!

It is the silly season !
Tried to go for a drive the other day but can’t open my roller door on the shed !
Unlocked as per normal but can’t lift it, 4 meter wide and heavy. Closer inspection has revealed the composite drum wheel has broken where the lift spring bolts to. Mmmm door needs to come out ...

Re: Harv's FED thread
You could elongate the east west holes and the north west would be in the middle of the pre drilled ones.
You could also weld the holes up and redrill.
Sorry just realised your new flywheel is forged, you could redrill the crank to suit the 6 bolt pattern maybe ??

Re: Chev EK
Sits real nice!...Was the Torana front end worth the effort?
The front end is awesome, the car sits very flat around corners and is quite easy to steer.
If I ever do it, maybe add some power steering but thats it.
Oh and one more thing I'm going to make some offset camber pins and washers for ...
