Re: Chev EK
So i have been having a small issue with the wheel alignment on the Torana front end and although its not that bad its been a thorn in my side since i have finished and been driving around.
What the issue is, the offset bushes i have in the lower control arms to do wheel alignments get knocked out ...

Re: Sump removal... in car?
Harv,
Something i remember, those pesky rope seals. I replaced them twice with the grey in the car.
However I cannot recall if the sump come out, but in saying that I replaced the then cork gaskets at the same time.
You would probably be surprised how quick you can pull the whole thing rather than ...

Re: Are you Bored? Bang for Buck Engine recipe required.
Can anyone tell if it was running on leaded or unleaded last?
Apart from running on oil on number 6, the left Plug.
From my experiences the carbon build up looks like leaded fuel, the unleaded fuel again from my experinces runs much hotter and usually less carbon. You may also see heat effected ...

Re: Are you Bored? Bang for Buck Engine recipe required.
Sorry,
Have to do it, LS, SBC or Barra 6 is the best bang for buck !
I have had countless greys all im afraid in the tip. Common breakage crank at # 1, no matter how they are balanced.
The greys have limits and revs below 6000 is where they are safest.
I am interested although !

Polishing the trims is laborious and not that easy.
To get them spottless they need to be sanded through the grit range 1500 2000 3000 4000 then polished for a few hours.
You will still see marks from aging and it takes a very patient person to get them perfect.
Good Job Scott.

Awesome young Joe, good to see you still have the old girl running and in your possesion.
Not only the radiator but the heater cores also suffer from big PSI, 7 pound recovery cap with a overflow will fix it.
I use green glycol mix which has anti freeze built in as well.

Re: GPS speedometer advice
The classic instruments that i use are not GPS driven but can be set to the exact road speed you are travelling at.
The cluster also incorporates oil pressure, Volts and RPM.
Not sure if thats helps though.

Looks as if it has been sitting for many years.
I have done the same thing with a Fraud from my late father recently, 20 years of sitting, new brakes lines and hoses, new master, reco booster and wheel cylinders, water pump and flush, rebuilt carby, new fuel lines and a tank.
So far about $1500 ...
