Re: Nats diary 2026

I went through there after the WA nats, had lunch at the exchange, nice old pub.

Took some photos of the entertainment area, apparently quite tame these days !

Re: Crankshaft Harmonic Balancer

All great advice although for harmonic issues, which the grey is renowned for it points to one thing, balance.
I noticed in the earlier posts that this vibration started after you changed the clutch, this does point to the possibility that the clutch, which should be balanced neutral, has thrown ...

Re: Crankshaft Harmonic Balancer

Looking at the video it appears very loose, it should just pull off by hand unless it has worn a goove in the crank.

If the crank is worn down you may be able to put a speedy sleeve over it, just maybe, otherwise bad news im afraid.

Re: Project 2.

Those carbs usually send the Holden 6 into another galaxy, you should get a pleasant surprise with them.
When I ran them years ago, they always leaked and the culprit was fuel pressure. Once you get that sorted and you work out the jetting they just scream. I hope you don’t mind a bit of fuel usage ...

Re: Project 2.

I use 12 point primarily for exhaust, and whenever i can on engine components.

Grinding down a cheap spanner on the outside give you more room for those tighter clearance spots.

in some cases its the only way you can get the fastners to work.

Door handles look great Clay.

Be careful when polishing the scuff plates, mine i think were anodised aluminium, couldn't get them shinny.

I ended with S/Steel and sandblasted the frosting.

Re: Diff saddles

Yes and Yes.

Its far better doing it this way than using blocks which normally raise eyebrows, you will need longer Ubolts as well.

The other option is to have your springs reset, not that expensive and better fit all round if you dont want to touch the diff.

Grumpy Greg🤣
The point is that it's a beautiful car, restored by an absolute legend!😁

Ha Ha, your right ! I am grumpy !

The car is great, its been established long ago and yes I have ignored that point.

Criticism has been taken and I'm going to my shed to have a good talking to myself ...

Re: Wilma FB project

Really ?

Iv'e never understood the semantics of some people. If you want to sell it then advertise it properly. What it is, what its got and how much you want for it.
Personally I shy away from adds like this, particularly when the author quotes NO BS, well I think his add is BS.

Oh well I suppose ...
