Re: Fuel pouring out...
Thanks. I've been trying not fill the tank so high, but also have an ongoing problem with my sender/fuel gauge not working, hence my current problem. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Fuel pouring out...
Due to the angle at which the road meets the curb, outside my house, the holden is on quite a tilt when parked. If the fuel tank is full, I lose a lot of fuel as it pours back out of the fuel cap, especially on a hot day... My fuel cap is old and the rubber is degraded, so I'm wondering, if I get a ...

Re: Brakes following period in storage
Thank you. The mechanic didn't show so I called a tow truck. It seems it was the rear wheel - in the process of forcing it to drive up the tray, the brake fluid oozed out of it. If we had done as u suggested and tested each wheel, could the damage have been prevented? Thanks again, I really apprecia...

Re: Brakes following period in storage
[Quite simply you have most likely seized wheel cylinders. Common problem with these cars if they are left to sit for sometime and the brakes are not regularly flushed. Normal brake fluid is hydroscopic and absorbs moisture. The combination of this and steel or alloy pistons in cast steel wheel cyli...

Brakes following period in storage
I am just collecting my Holden after a period of 12 months in storage. Everything is fine, except my brakes, which were operational when I stopped driving it, but are now stuck on. I can't press the foot pedal at all. Does anyone know why this Might be, and is there an easy fix? I know nothing about...

Preparation for storage
Can anyone please advise me what I should do to my wagon to prepare it for a period in storage (at least a year)? It has been exposed to the elements and has some rust in the body. Should I cover it in fish oil, drain the fuel tank, radiator etc.? Should it be on blocks? It has a new battery in it -...

Re: fuel tank sender
Thanks Blacky. I query, as this one looks the same, but the seller states 'sedan only'. I'm not sure of the differences between the senders of the sedans and wagons... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FX-FJ-FE-FC-FB-EK-SEDAN-FUEL-TANK-LEVEL-SENDER-NEW-/400242426121?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=ite...

Fuel tank gasket - around sender unit.
Yesterday I noticed that fuel is slowly oozing out of the point at which the sender wire leaves the fuel tank (FB wagon). I'm not 100% about this as there is a round metal cover shielding my view of it. Is it likely that a gasket needs replacing?
Thanks.
Thanks.
