well i got around to sussing things out properly, it's a busted engine mount. cant find any in stock around newcastle, so i've ordered them in, and now i have to spend a week driving the morris!

hi all well, i've cracked the shits and put the single carb back on the car. i didn't really realise that it would cause everybody so much mayhem if the the old girl was off the road for a while, so got kinda sick of being hassled to sort it out. it's no fun when there's hassling involved. so anyway...

apparently theres a bit of a trick to fitting the copper washer - you have to put the washer in the hole BEFORE screwing the plug in.

dont ask me why. i have no idea.

oook, we've got a development. no luck just sticking them back together and whacking them on the car, BUT if i hold my hand partially over one of the carbs, i can get it to rev no probs. so any ideas? its clear that there is not enough fuel for the air intake, but i wouldve thought 44 jets should be...
