Re: FB219 Standard StationSedan

Great to see this on the road :)

Any chance of bringing the wagon and/or the HAMBSTR down to DotD in a few weeks?

Cheers,
Harv
Probably not this year. Long story with the hambster hence things going sideways with Eddie but it’s definitely on the cards to get down there soon. Bangers and mash ...

At this stage decisions were made to step things up a little and get a bit more serious with Eddie.

My billet grey motor had come to a grinding hault not being able to aquire a cam billet for the solid roller conversion so it was mothballed down at HSD.

After speaking to Adam at HSD and Jeff ...

Re: Eddie

Pete Neale from Pete’s hotrod shop let us know he was using Eddie for the moonshine run Merch so the thrash was on to get him back together and driveable.

By this stage he’d donated his bonnet to the FB which needed another bonnet to deskin and use the bracing for.

The spare bonnet skin was thrown ...

Re: Eddie

Next was the inner and outer rear quarters

Same treatment. Todd would cut everything out and fit everything up. I could then pull it apart, rust treat, paint and put back together.

Re: Eddie

Eddie was never going to be a full blown bare metal resto. More a rolling resto we could still use for events like Pete’s with the end goal of being a race car.

With the A pillars sorted next on the list was inner and outer sills. All the internals were paint stripped, repaired, deoxidine then ...

Re: Eddie

The Gall bros put me onto a good young mobile rust repair bloke they use with their cars.

He has a really cool setup and goes pretty hard. Rocks up at 8, headphones in and does not stop until 5 and leaves the place spotless each day.

We’ve got a system going where I’ll book him for a week at a ...

Gamut of rust panels from retro rods (awesome company to deal with) here on the sunny coast (ex Ray Taylor dies), Thompsons and CRS tunnel ready to go in. All the panels except for the floors were bare metal’d deoxd, epoxied and 2kd ready for install. The best of a set of doors I had were deskinned ...

After missing out on the FX “Hump This” Mick shared by a week or so (it went to a good home in the end) I bit the bullet and decided to start getting a bit more serious with Eddie.

Being a glutton for punishment why not start building a second wagon while trying to finish the FB right?

Threw some ...

Re: FB219 Standard StationSedan

It was great to catch up with yourself Clay and the other interstate FB EK family. Mrs was a bit crook so unfortunately hanging around in the cold sinking a few beers and talking shit didn’t happen. Maybe get down to SA next year if we can juggle it around work and school.
