Hi Cal, This is a reasonably common problem (It's more common with the EJ-HR style crash boxes). First things to check are whether the gearbox bolts are tight (bellhousing to engine block). Then check the adjustment to make sure that it's going into gear properly (i.e. make sure it's not half in gea...
