Re: GPS speedometer advice
A few reasons Blacky. First is that with Celica box the cable drive is way off and I am not away of gear options. Second reason is that I want kms instead of mph. I have a heads up gps display which works well, and my original speedo is pretty close to being 10% slow with mph so it's all fixable but ...

Try Lawrence at Speeds Spares in Mitchell, ACT. My radiator cowl came from a wrecked Shuttle in his vast collection.

Re: FB bonnet bars BRAND NEW
Great work and also a fair price I reckon. That one piece of trim makes FBs the hard one to restore. A smart fellow like Scott probably could make a plastic one from his clever thinking printer thingy that could be chromed, but these are always going to be best. The other bit that is going to get ...

Pic of modern Yaris steering coloumn with breakaways. Also pic of my tilt column and the mounting bits so it will bolt straight in to replace current Torrie set up.

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute
Nonsense talk Harv. If you have a collapsible straight cloumn facing the driver, it won't collapse in away from the driver unless there is a breakaway. Even modern ultra short EPS steering gear with multiple unis within the dash space still use breakaways.

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute
You can buy a 2 bolt breakaway from one or more of the hot rod places that can bolt onto the dash and clamps on to the column. The way I did mine was to use the holden 70's steering mount which has 3 bolts and works nicely under the dash. To do that you have to weld a bracket onto the new column to ...

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute
Is it a collapsible column? If so, the steering wheel end must be mounted using breakaway slip plates bolted to the dash frame to pass engineering and also to be effective. The original mount can still be there but more as a decoration. Sorry if this has been raised previously.

Craig, I am interested in your placement of the Malpassi filter/ regulator. Is vapourisation a potential issue with the glass bowl above exhaust?

Yes air fuel thingy sits on ~14 except on acceleration when it goes down to 11. Dont forget I have 5th gear overdrive and 3.36 diff. Engine is only doing 2000rpm at 100kph. Setting 2,8 on ice ignition box, fuel pressure 7psi and 14°btdc and the rest is top secret😃
