Re: Accelerator Pedal Replacement

I've had the old one welded back together it its working like a charm at the moment. The rare spares one is just the wrong size/shape and with no way to adjust the linkage easily it wasn't going to work.

Thanks for all your advice.

Accelerator Pedal Replacement

Original pedal has given up the ghost. Replacement part from Rare spares purchased. I have fitted it but can't get the linkage to line up with the hole in the new pedal. I can't find anywhere to adjust the linkage. Where am I going wrong?

Thanks

Re: Nigel"s EK Ute

Thanks for your replies.

Next question. What security/anti theft precautions do you take, One of my neighbour's beautifully restored HG was stolen from his drive way the other day which got me to thinking about security. The ute must be simple to break into and hotwire. At the moment it is garaged ...

Re: Nigel"s EK Ute

Thanks for your replies.

Next question. Did you really have to change the oil every 1000 miles as the service book indicates. My guess is that modern oil is much better. How often should I change my oil?

Thanks

Re: Nigel"s EK Ute

As part of my son's school project he has some questions that he is hoping the forum may be able to help with.

I have noticed that the keyhole for the door lock is on the passenger side only. Why would this be so?

Thanks Lock

Re: Nigel"s EK Ute

So perhaps get it registered before putting in the seatbelts might be the easiest, least risky option.

Re: Nigel"s EK Ute

Thanks Neil. I probably wasn't clear. I was wondering how much I should insure it for?

Cheers

Re: Nigel"s EK Ute

Thanks very much for your kinds words and making us feel welcomed. I am a little overwhelmed.

What a ripper Nigel. With the restoration, the car can stay in the family for another 60 years before your grandkids do another resto 😀.
How long before it’s back on the road?
Keep us posted when you do ...
