48/215 Holden

Post by Filmore »

Hi Guys
I know I am not in the right club but I figured we are all old Holden enthusuasts so decided you good folk might be able to help?
I am building a 48/215 (FX) (51 model with old style suspension). A number of people have told me that I should upgrade the front support brackets for the stub axles to the later Elliott? series. I have the feeling that this upgrade may have been done sometime during a previous lifetime of the car.
Can someone describe the differences for me so I know if I have the old or the new? I am building the car using a FJ workshop manual.
Would love to get an FC one day but have to finish one car at a time!

Thanks
Ray
