Still noisy in first with clutch in-any clues ?

Post by matt71 »

It's probably a no brainer but I get quite a prominent whirring/whine noise at the top of first (and only first) when I depress the clutch but goes as soon as I shift to neutral. Is this just first gear showing wear and tear or something else?

cheers

Thrust bearing - try not to drive with your foot resting on the clutch ,it loads up the bearing and spins it .
