Chev EK
Re: Chev EK
Just for the record,
With 60 litres of fuel.
Front came in at 0.76 T
Rear came in at 0.68 T
I don't have any fancy woodwork in the boot, nor A/C compressors etc. Plain and simple for me.
Regards
Greg

Re: Chev EK
Well,
Maiden run today and I did around 100Kms, a few things I must attend to.
The 3 degrees caster may be a bit much as it gets hard to turn in the tight corners, The Torrie front end is factory 2 degrees.
The front is too stiff so new springs will be ordered once I change the heads over, a bit down on power ! The heads I bought are alloy AFR;s and I also bought a set of roller rockers. The weight saving will be approx 20 kilos so I would like to go softer on the spring rate.
Over all very happy but still got to fine tune some things, Couldn't resist a photo with big brother today. Realistically the cars are so different but I suppose the inspiration was there in design. What a great day out !!!! Hopefully many more soon.

They are never finished , enjoy the tinkering
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

More Kays today !!!!
First fuel station fill, I'm starting to enjoy the cruise.
Need softer and lower springs up front, but otherwise sweet so far.

Nice mate. Those back tyres look like they need some material “machined” off the treads.

Got new boings the lovells kind.
Its unchartered territory here, standard height 6 cylinder springs for the softer spring rate.
I will loose another 2okgs with alloy heads, hopefully some more power as well
Torrie springs not easy to change, especially if you value your fingers and nogin.
Final ride is nice and smooth, exhaust hits the hump in my driveway, never finished really !!!
