should go full rego first year so you can drive the wheels off it with no limitations (other than a speed limit unless you also believe in this take out riding and insert driving )
sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping

Got it weighed today, 1440 KGs, a bit heavier than i thought but then again, 9 inch, turbo700, chev donk, chassis kit, fans, big radiator, caltracs, etc etc all adds up !!!

Re: Chev EK
From the Workshop manual, wagons (both Specials and Standards) are 116lb, or 52kg heavier.
... mine is 100kg overweight for all the assorted crap on it that it doesn't need if I was smarter (brake pump, dynamat, towbar, windshields, foglights etc).
Cheers,
Harv

Re: Chev EK
The extra weight and bigger wheels will be an advantage at “highway” speed, in terms of staying on the blacktop…..

Well done Greg, great work, will have to remember not to take you on at the lights, mine came in at 1520kg.
A place for everything and everything in it's place, just can't remember where that place is.
Re: Chev EK
You boys must be adding a lot of weight with those extra cylinders frank only came in at just over 1200 Kgs I know it is a Ute and all and I'm missing cylinders but a couple of 100Kgs is a fair bit in my book

Mmm, 9" v B/W 78 LSD, electric A/C compressor, A/C hoses to boot, Astra P/S pump, 70lts of fuel, 1/2" square tube false floor, don't think there's 80kg there, anyway is what it is.
1520kg 800 front 720 rear, might try a different weigh bridge, one day.
