Nostalgia Drags WSID 23 May 06

Post by parisian62 »

Some of us NSW FB EK Car Club members spent today at the Nostalgia Drags at Western Sydney International Dragway. What a blast! Soooo many cars...sooo much burnin rubbber...

The highlight for me though was an offer by Sonny Ward to take his Model A hotrod with flathead V8 8) for a cruise round the carpark - thanks mate :D

hi guys went to the nostalgia drags also . man what a day it went off. how cool is it when u can walk around and look at the cars that are racing.it was better than a car show. u didnt happen to get a pic of that yellow falcon doing the wheelstand lucky it had a bumper bar or it would have flipped.

This is the EK ute owned by Rodney Grima everyone ws drooling over at the Nationals. With a 186 it ran a 15 second quarter mile with top speed 86mph. The Monaro next to it has a Chev 406 and did 11 sec at top speed 122.

That is a BLOODY nice ute - good to see it isnt all show and no go .
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.
