what ratio does a manual have in the diff, think mine revs to high at 100, want a little self preservation :?:
dont know what is in there but use to have a torana with a 173 4speed with 2.75--- wasnt fast off the line but just kept going till niddle off the clock, like floating on air 8)
any suggestions.
got to love the old trusty grey motor and drum brakes

FB EK had 3.89 as a diff center ratio.

I swapped to a 3.36 see this thread

Just if you do decide to swap to a "red" motor dif center dont forget you need a COURSE spline one.

so will a centre from a hq wagon diff fit if its coarse spline?
