Replacing Column Gear Lever

Post by In the Shed »

Hi All

Have a replacement gear lever to fit on the column. I see I need to tap out the roll pin and there will be an anti rattle spring on the end of the lever. Question, is the small plastic bush (where the end of the gear lever fits into) likely to fall out and drop down the column somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

Stephen

Hi Stephen,
I would say it is not likely, however possible. More likely it is either missing already or worn out. If it did drop down the column it isn’t a huge big deal and you can replace it using one of the plastic cups from the door trim clips. Just cut the brim off as it were. I have a few if you need one.
Cheers,
Clay
