SA Club April cruise to the Coorong Cafe

Post by Errol62 »

All the elements aligned today for the cruise down through Mt Compass and Port Elliot and over three bridge to Sugars Beach and the Coorong Cafe on Hindmarsh Island.

Roger led the hungry pack from mile end to rendezvous with the southerners at Mt Compass.ImageCome on dearest.......ImageImageImageHere we are at scum puss.

Old mate Howdy came along on the Trumpy and helped out marshalling the convoy off the main road to wind down the back way in to Port Elliott. Image

Here are all the cars lined up at the cafe. ImageImageImageImageImageImage

I had Coorong mullet, chips and sparkling ale, yum. Howdy had a pie floater. If only I had looked harder at the menu....ImageImageImage

Good to meet some more members and see their cars.

I've seen Tom's ute before and was good to have another look. Hasn't quite finished it but I like that.ImageImageImageImage

Looked like a great day out   I see Tom’s Ute has the optional Bathurst long range tank, nice.

Yes Stephen, it’s a custom ally job. Sits fairly low but above tail pipe exit height. Full spare compartment retained. Large diameter filler neck might help counter the factory blow back.

Thanks Clay for great time.
We cruised on some back roads and saw spectacular views on the southern coast.
Fantastic turn our with 9 cars which due plenty of attention.
And to the traffic that got behind us, " bad luck for you as we were in cruise mode" .
Cheers,
Roger
There is a right way and a wrong way and then there is my way which is usually the long way.
