Tailgate hinges

Gents,
Are ute,van & wagon tailgate hinges all the same?

I assume you know that ute and van are the same Phil. I reckon wagon are different. Wrongway Roger will know.

I found to my annoyance that the ute hinges are shorter (on the bottom mount plate I think it was ) than waggon tailgate hinges. I couldnt work out why my tailgate was sticking up about 10mm until I twigged. After painting them of course.

So you tried to use wagon hinges on a ute?

You make it sound criminal! Yes I bought hinges on ebay for a ute and painted them and attempted to use them. In the end I cut a section off them and welded them up again. So yes, I used a waggon hinge on a ute.

FB/EK vans and utes share the same hinge as FE utes (7410423).
FB/EK wagons have a different hinge (7411027).
