Parts pick up - Nuriootpa to Toowoomba

Post by Fex »

Hi all

Just checking to see if anyone from Qld going to the Nationals can bring a canvas canopy back for me? It’s not quite in Nuriootpa but about 8km away in Stockwell. The canopy is supposedly an original FX-FJ Army Ute canopy which will suit my original paint FX army Ute nicely. I haven’t seen photos yet to confirm what it is (the bloke is ultra casual) but I’m hoping it is what he says it is. I’ve been hunting for a number of years. Obviously room may be an issue carting spare parts over that length trip but if you think you might have room I will try to get some photos and dimensions. Happy to pick it up from anywhere southern Qld if you’re driving through to get somewhere further north.

Cheers, Andrew

I’m happy to help with any logistics this end Andrew. I dare say the Brisbane boys at worst could find space for it.

Thanks Clay, hoping so. Might depend whether they stop in and fill up with bits and pieces at Dudley’s.

Dud only takes cash and with his prices they'll need boot loads, so back loading shouldn't be a problem 8 ) 8 )

Thanks Tim.
I’ll try and get some more definitive info out of the bloke. It’s just the canvas canopy. I already have bow hoops. The canopy size is the same as the FX/J bed (at a rough guess without wandering over to the shed - 1.4m x 1.8m) with each side, front and rear about 900mm. Just not sure how pliable the canvas is to be able to fold it lots.

might be best to roll it around a length of storm water pipe or the like ???
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.
