Hey guys;
Funky if you are having to use a lot of force on the spot weld drill I would say it’s blunt, I’ve used the Suttons ones, a couple of different sizes, the ones I’m using now are the cutter type, I think you get a 10 pack for 20 bucks off evilbay.

I know I was winging but I prefer to drill the out of the crap panel I’m removing because I don’t want to damage the panel underneath, anyway see where I get up to today

Sutton is a fairly quality brand. I always use cutting oil when drilling steel.

I do too Clay certainly helps.
Didn't get much else done this weekend, cleaned all the rust out of the inner sill on the drivers side and used some rust converter and then primer on it.
Completed the bottom of the Drivers side A Pillar, trimmed the bits off the bottom and folded the edge under like you are supposed to do.
Need to roll the rotiss back over now and finish of the bottom of the passenger side A pillar.

Both front floor sections after that

Ended up getting the driver side floor pan tacked in.
This was by far worse side of the front, it has taken nearly all of the Rares replacement panel, weird that the passenger side rear floor and under set areas were bad and the driver side front
Some of it will be cut out when the new floor hump goes in but I thought it was better to have good metal for the floor hump to mate to than the shite that was still there.
Big hole to start with.

I’m planning to get Frank and I (and maybe Robyn) to the club meeting and hopefully the run to King Road Brewery, even though it’s not far from me would be good to give the Ute a good run.

Decided to cut out the rest of the fuel tank surround before rolling the rotis down again, it was all rotted so no real lose

Not sure what I’m going to do there but I’ll sort it at a later date
Rolled the rotis and welded the driver side floor patch in.

Going to move on to the gearbox tunnel, like always the new one just does not fit all that well so as always “improvise, adapt and overcome

41 deg already at 11:00 but went in to my shop early and Tek screwed the CRS floor hump in the floor, only had to use the MFH to get it to fit better

Maybe if it cools down some tomorrow I might be able to get it in but I don’t think the temps going to let up for a while.

I was on the roof of the house until 11:30 this morning fitting gutterguard Then in the shed welding up broken seat frames for me trimmer mate and the young blokes Landcruiser

Cold snap tomorrow, only meant to be 39
