Now the bad bits , interior needs some love although it has a new set of rubber mats from Martin , and it has rust issues - well, it’s an EK so that’s a given Image

Ah ha. You have been itching to do some rust work Blacky, here is your opportunity. That pillar rust looks very familiar 😁

Ah yes, the famous "Coolaride A-pillar". It was the driver's side that rotted out on the family EK in the 70s and 80s. What are you worried about? WA doesn't have yearly inspections.

I'm still to identify the colossal error of judgement yet. I think you have made a very prudent and well-considered acquisition.

‘course, if you are welding out rust, you might slip and weld in SBC engine mounts.

Just sayin…..

It's only am EK , I will just bog it up

I have plenty of donor sections in EKmart Dave , it's staying as it is for now though.
Apart from the pillar and both outer sills it's pretty decent rust wise , as Rob said there's no annual inspections over here nor are there any when a vehicle changes hands so unless I cop a yellow sticker it can stay as it is . Priority is to get some work done on the red rattler in the hope of having it finished for this years nationals .........
