October club run

Post by Blacky »

Hi gang,

This months run - sorry for the late notice I have been working away a lot lately - will be on Sunday October 31 to the Nostalgia drags , car show and swap meet at Kwinana motorplex . We will have 2 meeting points for this one, the northeners will meet at Cockburn Central McDonalds carpark at 9 for a 9:30 departure , and the southern crew will meet up at Muzz Buzz Rockingham on Enterprise Way at 9 for a 9:30 departure .

There is usually several hundred old and not so old cars attending on the day , plus the opportunity to race your car if you like, email for more details if you would be interested in that, The swap meet starts at 7 so if you are keen to buy or sell bits you will need to be there early and we will meet you there ! Jamie and Carl no doubt you 2 will be at the swap ??

Well, we had a grand day out , started out with a swap meet where I bought a steering column, flywheel and clutch and a starter motor for the grand total of $10 , had the column for about 5 minutes and gave it to a club member who needed it ImageImage, also found a couple of handy bits for a certain eastern states based speed freak ImageImageImage

Couple of club cars were racing, Jezza ran his first ever race in his freshly rebuilt grey sedan and Leigh is still knocking on the door of an 11 second run , ran 12.09 at 115mph, has the grunt just can’t get it off the line

Thanks Blacky. Lot of work done by you to post that. Much appreciated😀. Very smart looking cars in that group and must have been a cracker of a day.

Many thanks. Covid sure has changed the world... that's the first swapmeet I've been to in 2 years :( (and the first one ever that I've attended virtually  )

12-flat is not bad out of the 'munro. Guessing he's not running the 173 and Traumatic
