October club run

Post by Blacky »

In sadder news, Grosey totalled his ute at roll racing on Saturday night , total loss of brakes at the end of the straight - not a mark on him but the ute is a write off -

Yep,

Iv'e been there and done that with my race car, Hurts real bad inside for a long time !!!

I had 8 weeks between races, so i rolled up my sleeves and worked day and night to fix it. It looks bad at first but if the bones are straight it can be fixed.

.

It's great to hear he wasn't injured, so get straight into it and fix it !! I hope he hasn't bent any of the rails although.

Thanks for posting Blacky.
Love the colour on the Vee Dub.
There is a right way and a wrong way and then there is my way which is usually the long way.

The ute is terminal mate, its bent and twisted from front to back , he might be able to salvage the spare wheel door, every other panel and the shell is toast. Went over 3 times and landed on the fence  Luckily it has an ANDRA spec cage rated to 7 seconds so its very strong

Been thinking of that ute for the last few days. He's lucky that the cage and belts were in. Photo still makes me wince. Has he done an autopsy on why the stoppers failed?

Cheers,
