That’s interesting. I have a 6 leaf on my EK - 2106 and was thinking wow that’s a lot of spring. And a lot of weight mind you. So I can carry a good load.

Interesting that the MasterParts (5 leaves) clashes with the Workshop Manuals (6 leaves):

My wagon and Grace's ute both have six leaves. The FB and EK Workshop manuals say the same:

Workshop manual - springs.jpg (738.79 KiB) Viewed 758 times

The FB Parts Manual adds a bit more info:

FB parts manual - springs.jpg
FB parts manual - springs.jpg (100.12 KiB) Viewed 758 times

The ute and van springs were changed from 7412385 (six leaves) to 7419193 (five leaves) somewhere between the cars being released and the MasterParts being printed. The Specials stayed at 7412386, but that assembly number changed from six to five leaves.

Cheers,

I might have even had another couple of leaves added at some point.

Slightly off-topic, but -

EJ-HR sedan springs, even though they carry different part numbers, are composed of the same leaves.
Same deal for EJ-HR wagon springs.
