Geez Clay, swag may be ok in QLD but in southern NSW you'll be a bit cool. Better stay with us when you're down my way😀

Thanks Brett yes it’s a backstop, and I can lay it out under the dining table. Nothing but the finest blankets from the Onkaparinga Wool company. Think I may have been conceived on one of them.

We have a route plan for the morning to avoid all the roadworks on the barrier highway and Main North Road. Truckie mate said he spent an hour scraping mud off his bogey after all the watered unsealed sections. No thanks! Balaclava, Jamestown, Peterborough, terowie, broken hill. Ann Marie is dissapoibtsd about missing Tarlee bakery.

Finally packed bar jocks and socks, and put these on. Baked enamel. Too much?ImageImage

Rear wing should help when you get round to opening her upon the middle of nowhere.

Can't remember, have you got a heater and demister fitted Clay? All the best for your travels.

Safe trouble free cruise Clay. Not sure GMH ever offered a cruise control on the utes but hey if it works.

Oh btw .......... I don’t see the “running in” sign on the back window to let following drivers know why you are cruising at 40 mph.

Regards
Stephen

Crooooze control, heater and bonnet lock on a ute? This thing is optioned to the hilt  Next thing you'll tell me it has a Nasco bonnet support stick too.

Good luck on the run - safe travels and look forward to a beer on the way back.

Cheers,
Harv

Cheers fellas. Cruise just happens to work perfect at 100kmh.

Lunch in Jamestown and 5C. Poor man heater working fine. Roger and Lennys cars both shivering and windscreen leaking.Image

Roger and Lennys both had failed wiper switches today. Not the ute ha ha...

But the fancy pants chrome dipstick went and decided to have a little dance around the ignition system, and short the coil feed, causing some very hot wires and resultant toasted loom. Unperturbed we resorted to hot wire and spanner start. My tools were all optimistically burried 'neath the floor and several cartons of what have you. Fortunately Roger was forthcoming with his impressive selection of random metric tools. Got his 13mm spanner at the ready. It handles the 1/2" battery life and solenoid arcing duty stoically.
