Heater Duct Option

Hi.

After crushing several ducts made by fuelmiser (the black aluminium foil wrapped in cardboard) I was looking for some spiral wound product to do the job.

First though of a vacuum cleaner hose. One of those cheap ozito ones.

But stumbled across these 1m lengths of pool hose product. (Bunnings)

Comes in grey. (White or aqua)

What’s good is it won’t crush, fits tight onto the dash vents and can squeeze in to the heater outlet that’s oval shaped. And from what I have tested, handles the heat well.

Not factory, nor period correct. But it works and you can’t see it unless you go looking for it.

No shower squeegee hanging off the dash for me this winter!! Clear windscreen all the way.

Thanks for the hint blackdog. Yes the NASCO demisters. There is a blurb somewhere by Rosco on setting the correct angle relative to screen to try and get them working effectively.

Fogex and rainex work good compared with original technology.

It's been a year since we last saw Rosco - anyone know if he is OK?

Last I heard he had headed north to outdistance 'Rona, but that was a while ago.

Cheers,
Harv

He's doing well. Working on model car stuff in his usual thorough way.

Thanks for the tip Blackdog.
Off to Bunings tomorrow so I can finish off the required heater in Ammo's ute.

Cheers
Roger
