May well be the case, and may well work fine. Common fit is the larger VH40. Doesn't mean VH44 won't work. Relatively minor outlay to change if not.

Hey Pedro
Unfortunately I no info on car. If it is on Gumtree it has been for sale before out north of Adelaide from memory. Have you inspected it?

Regards
Stephen

Thanks Stephen ,
I had a look it’s all original and straight not a lot of rust. The guy is selling it for a friend and doesn’t know any history!

That would get the alarm bells ringing if the owner of the car didn't want to be involved in the sale
Looks like you fell on your feet though   we need more pics - and its not too late to enter the Nationals 8)

Wish I could recommend someone sorry. Have a good look at the floor and A-pillar bottoms when you can so you know the full extent. Happy to have a look at it with you some time.

A friend has just taken his EK to a bloke in Willunga that was recommended to him by his mate that did a complete job on an HT. He is getting the firewall repaired where it bolts to the subframe, as the previous guy did a poor job in this tricky area.

Replace the outer sills only if -
(i) You have lots of money you want to spend, or
(ii) You can't get the car registered in its current condition.

I'm joking here, but not much. Sill replacement is one of these "Alice In Wonderland" down-the-rabbit-hole things. Everything forward of the firewall would need to come off, and the interior would need to come out. Then you'll discover rust in the front subframe, the rear doglegs, the bottoms of the A-pillars, and the inner sills where the front subframe bolts on. And the no. 1 body crossmember too.

Look at http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtop ... 11&t=23738 to get an idea of what awaits.
Or you can go to FE-FC and look for a thread entitled "Found Object".

Cheers Errol I’ll take you up on that Car arrives next Saturday.
I know its not a quick fix but I suspect I’ll need it done to clear Regency.
