Having trouble getting the subframe off.
Removed the 4 bolts under the car and loosened the 8 that go through the firewall. Removed 3 screws and ground off a tack weld that are all there to help pin the subframe's 'ears' back to the firewall near the top.
Figured from there some gentle persuasion would move it
No dice.
Held firmly to the firewall with a combination of rust and some type of silicon (not mastic).
Any good tips apart from a BFH and a cold chisel?
Had to walk away from it before I broke something.

Re: Subframe Removal Tips
That's right, remove all the bolts from the inside.
Its probably stuck from the mastic, silastic from the previous attempt !
Pull it from the bottom chassis bolts then just keep moving it up and down, it will loosen eventually.

Re: Subframe Removal Tips
Thanks @SunnyTim and Greg. Totally missed the two bolts into the subframe from inside the car!
Powers of observation not so great. It’s a pretty big bolt.
Anyway it’s off and swinging in the breeze on my hoist

Don't lose those bolts Scott. They are a self tapping type.

Re: Subframe Removal Tips
All bagged up in a “firewall” zip lock bag! Only got 4 mystery bolts floating around the car at the moment.
