Quinzis Confessionary

Post by Wrongway Roger »

The SA club did a cruise to Joe Quinz’s Confectionary today.
He and his wife gave a tour of the factory where we sampled what they make.
Very interesting hearing of the process to coat the nuts and contrast the sugar-coated products.
Amazing to hear he is still using some of the hand beaten drums in the sugar-coating area.
We progressed to the showroom / retail outlet to load up baskets of products.
Joe provide tea – coffee and cake so we could as normally discuss our cars.

A big thanks to Joes and his wife for giving up a Sunday morning and sharing the confectionary business

Dominus Deus, Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis . . .

Ah. Confectionery. Not confessional.

One of my now-retired colleagues tells me that the parish priest was hard of hearing when he was an altar boy as a youngster, and they used to say things like "Me a cowboy, me a cowboy, me a Mexican cowboy", and get away with it.
