Gilbert Motors Cruise

Hi All
The club had cruise out to Strathalbyn today to the Gilbert Motors Museum.
The day started with rain and cold winds. Good turn out with 7 member’s given the weather. Cam turned up in his Purple 8 EK but headed home due to noises in the diff and yes, the yellow Impala does not have fins yet.

Had the usual breakdown on the way with Phil’s AP5 blowing a front tyre, luckily at low speed as we went via Mount Barker.

We had lunch and a chat at the Robin Hood pub.
Across the road was a sculpture of a local biker who was killed racing at the Isle of Man.
My bad for not getting more details.

Next time I'm in SA, I'll have to look the place up.

Dependent, of course, on
(i) Victoria getting the infection rate down-down,
(ii) NSW not letting the situation get out of hand,
(iii) border restrictions being lifted,
(iv) vaccine.

The cynic in me has to ask if there's a state election in South Australia later this year . . .

Glad it went well Roger.

Was thinking to call and see if you wanted to come home via Mt Compass and collect surfboard but went out to lunch for Charlotte's birthday. Coming your way during the week so will call In if you're around ( I have a 149 block and trimatic to pick up from Ottoway, going to use to dummy up in the van).

Mike Adi's Gogomobil has had a long racing career. It used to run a Wray-blown dak dak motor before he put the SC14 onto it.

Cheers,
Harv
