Hi gurus,
I have lost my b motor sump to bushfires and was preparing a J motor one to put on. I noticed the part numbers for B and J are different. Will a J motor sump fit properly on a B motor ?
Thanks

Never even realised the EJ sumps were different from the earlier models'. The EJ sumps apparently have an O stamped in the bottom. But they all interchange.

thanks very much Rob. I saw the 0 and thought it was something that had resulted from flying internal bits😀. Its very close to cutting right through to the outside!
Much relief here.

What about differences with dip stick? Just a thought.

The dipstick goes to exactly the same place in the sump.

Early grey motors (FX-EK) had the short dipstick (8.5" long, part number 7410305) with no tube.
EJ grey motors had the longer dipstick (1' 1.5", part number 7415679) with a tube (5", part number 7415681).

Cheers,
