The carb is a loaner , was on Doc Bobs 202 wagon - tempted to cut a bit of sheet and bolt the old strommy on 🤣

Just the back pots... manifold leaks? A little reversion or leaky exhaust valve perhaps pulling in air?

Curios what jets the two barrel has in it. I like Holleys.

Cheers,

They were all hot mate, but the rears were worse than the fronts - no idea what jets are in it , Bob said it was running well on his wagon just had a bit of a leak through the needle and seat when it was sitting which I figured wouldn't be a drama. Plugs look OK , well - not overly lean which is the main thing . Just want to get the cam run in with this setup then I can add boost and the fancy gear , would like to get it running sweetly as is before that though. Need to run the cam through at least one more heat cycle before trying to get it to idle nice and not misbehave

Could also be the timing is to retarded as the fire will go out the exhaust valves.

Got to know exactly where its timed, cam and ignition then go from there.

Anyone here remember this thread ???
After months of inactivity I put a bit of time into the old tart yesterday, my mate Jules came over and got stuck into the rear quarter- I just wanted to paint it as it was but he wouldn’t let me and he is too big to argue with…..ImageImage

And while he was making a racket down the back I did a bit up the front , got the carb , dizzy and temporary wiring off and started putting superchargers and things back on ImageImageImage

Also rerouted the wiring that melted when we ran the motor in around here -

Mmmmm,

Blow through Carby, your going to have fun with the tuning.

Will be good to see what power you end up with, is it going onto a DYNO ??

Its an EFI setup mate, that's a throttle body in the pic. Carby was just there to bed the cam in , its gone now.Injectors are at the rear of the plenum between the throttle body and the blower intake. You can see the end of the fuel rail at the back with the pressure gauge screwed into the end of it .

Yes it will be getting tuned on a dyno when the time comes.

It's a combination of bits , with an EMS80 to control it all.

Little bit more done tonight, refitted the oil pressure senders and the distributor block off plug

And fitted up the coil pack

Fiddled around with the throttle cable setup and measured up a couple of other bits so I can pick up some supplies tomorrow- it’s all progress…..
