Front bar looks good Clay. What did you paint on the inside?

Soaked the components in citric acid and scrubbed out the backs with scotchbrite. Poured on ranex then wiped off after 10 minutes and sprayed about umpteen coats of Australian export enamel Stephen. Strictly not for automotive use according to the can. It is very cheap and sticks to anything. See how it lasts.

Miserable spring morning at Willunga. Fortunately the paint likes a bit of humidity to cure and can be applied by brush down to 6C. First coat cured overnight and rubbed with 400. I was going to spray it but brush gets it in to the rougher surface. Strips are getting one coat allover with adhesion promoter added to the clear then screwed on to top with two coats. Then final coat on top within 6hours.ImageImage

Shortest screws in 10g were 18mm so will have to turn over and grind off the ends and re seal. Still have enough clear. At this stage just set up to drop in without any fixing.Image

Looking good clay but I keep thinking you are making life harder for yourself putting everything on before cutting and buffing

I keep putting it off I know. I buffed the stone tray before I put the bumper on but I need to get in to it.

I already bought four litres of compound from my local but thanks for the tip.

Getting the outside ends of the front bar bolted up with the two stays is a head $*#@ now I remember.Image

Very smart Clay. Are those metal strips your innovation or did they come stock?
