Im not sure if they make a pull strut but thats another good idea putting one bolt base on the inner fender . If anyone has a old rusty drivers side hinge they want to donate to me ill bolt it on my fb, buy and try a hand full of different length gas struts from Bunnings drill a million holes relocating the strut until something works .im sure it would be sorted in a hour or so once you have all the bits. all the unused struts can go back no worries.

These pull instead of push - based on how little the spring moves, not sure if they would work due to minimum travel requirements.

Nice find. If someone has the spring open and close length based off where you might cut the hinge side spring hooks off and drill in strut fixings and maybe the spring rate tension ill enquire with the company. Finally spoke to mates about this. Lengthened XE offset pedal mounted centre of pedal box. No clutch, auto. Suppose could run cable clutch if manual. Booster is mounted central between clutch and brake masters. No hinge issue at all. They didn't think it needed to be &*#@. Is it an improvement changing to a smaller or larger bore than std. Or just stay with what holden intended and engineered it for.

Smaller bore will give you softer pedal but more travel comes with this. I would use 1” stock one as it is most likely to work with the other stock Holden bits. The only variable is the pedal ratio. I was looking at a HK pedal box this morning. I should have measured the thing doh.

Yep. Bore size effects how the pedal feels, but less so the overall braking capacity.
Smaller bore = less pedal effort, but more pedal travel.
Larger bore = more pedal effort, but less pedal travel.

Just had a thought and looked into it seems eh and hr run the brake pedal in the middle of the under dash bracket , i wonder if one of these modded would suit an fb or ek to get the pedal rod moved over to the left allowing to fit a booster directly to the firewall and miss the oem bonnet hinge.

The pedals on the FB/EK are a simple slip fit on the mounting shaft. They have pretty big bosses on the end. You can dissassemble, grind the bosses down until the pedals move across, then pack the resultant space with water pipe spacers. Worked for me with the wagon.

Hi,
I have used the clutch mounting area (auto box) and bent the clutch pedal arm around and welded it to the brake arm.
Just another option I guess.
