Should be 85 amps out of the Bosch alternator once its up to speed. The Sniper should pull around 20 amps. A pair of 14" thermos 16-22 amps (go brushless if you are limited). 10-15 amps for headlights (depending on bulbs). Ditch the wireless

Great diagnostic and switching features, cool man. See what happens when you tap the fans in. 12.2V you can live with I would think. Headlights bright enough?

I would have thought so mate unless it's on its way out anyways. I just have the std single red harmonic balancer to ac to a 1fz pulley to the alternator then water pump and back to harmonic running a belt 1430mm long.Image

I didn't have the headlights on today and running through my head what else uses power only other thing that comes to mind is the actual ac fan blower i havent tongged that yet but it may pull a few amps but nothing near the limit by the sounds.
I had to read wireless 5 times out loud before it clicked Image but in saying that I have a under seat pioneer sub amp that's going in when i power up the new kicker stereo.

Yes mate plenty of options with these.im happy with the 12.2v but I don't think the sniper is as it's flashing yellow. Will try and find more info on these, I didn't check the headlights mate but will look at that also.

Alternator should charge between 13.8 and 14.5 Volts.

Battery should read around 12.6 V on its own no load.

I'm just wondering if your battery is up to the task or it could be your alternator is on the way out ?

Mt son has an Alfa Romeo and it was doing a similar thing with low volts, turned out the battery just wasn't big enough for the load so drained quicker than what the alternator could recharge. I would consider a bigger battery if the alternator is working ok.

Hey Clint I think you can get 100 or even 120 amp commodore alternators so may be another option.

I have a new in box alternator at home if you need it mate
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

That could be part of the issue aswell having that smaller battery from a Harley which may not have enough juice to comfortably run and charge the fuel pump that's now added to the load mate.

I had a look over the alternator with a torch and found a small 40A stamped on it. I personally removed it from the inj 5.0 years back but who's to say some one didn't chuck a smaller 40a on it at some stage of its life if the oem one shit itself.
