I usually hang in the fc forum. I just want to know this cos I have an fc built in the last week of 1959. The original head and gearbox were stamped 18/12/59 and 16/12/59 respectively. So I am just wanting to know what numbers they started with for the fb series and whether they reset the numbers or not. Im only interested in Adelaide but I know the engines came from Melbourne. Thanks.

This is interesting, I was under the impression Holden were building the FB as early as November 1959 so they had stock to deliver to the dealers for the release date in January 1960...

How can you validate your FC was build on the date you say?
