FB wagon

Post by 850man »

Hello,
I am new to the forum but not new to old Holdens, having owned a few over the years & currently own a 51 FX sedan. I am thinking about selling the FX and would like a FB wagon, one that I can use every day. I am looking for a tidy wagon, it doesnt have to be perfect as I am willing to do some restoration work. Grey motor preferred & manual box, if its got a red motor fitted I wont complain, but I will change it back to a hotted up grey in the future. Please let me know what you have, I would like to spend 6 to 8 grand.
Thanks,
Regards David.

Nice.
Are you in East Bentley?
If so I have admired your car when I was your garbo.

Yes, thats me. I have owned the FX for 22 years, now its time to let someone else enjoy her. If I can find an FB wagon it would be more suited to my 3 children and the Misses. (I could have an EK wagon, but my mother purchased a brand new FB in 1960 so I rather a FB, but will take either.) :vecctor:

My Dad had a EK with a hot grey motor in it back in the 60s too. I have been collecting up Grey motor spares now for years in prep for my own hot grey, I have a Speco triple Stromberg set I am itching to use. :D

I am still looking.
I would be willing to do a swap with the FX if someone comes up with a decent wagon.
