When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Thanks guys, both of those wagons look great but they unfortunately they are out of my price range.

Like I said in my original post - "Please let me know what you have, I would like to spend 6 to 8 grand"

I am looking for a complete wagon that needs work, I plan on building a hot grey motor for it so if I can find one that is in need of mechanical work I am happy to do it ( I have been a mechanic working on classic cars many years) Body wise and trim I would like to be somewhat ok, but if it does not have an engine or it has a red fitted I can work with that. I have collected lots of grey motor parts over the years so I am looking forward to bringing a tired car back to life.

I will keep looking, I do see them come up now and then, its just now I have cash burning a hole in my pocket.

Cheers
David.

yeah - 8 grand is not a lot to spend on one so you are going to need to be diligent and QUICK when one comes up that looks like good value .

Thanks for the heads up. WA is a bit too far away but I have joined the facebook page and sent the seller a request for more information and some photos. So far no response, a car in that condition and price I would bet is already sold, hopefully to a good home, but if not it would be perfect for what I want.
I have purchased cars in SA, NSW and Qld and brought them home in the past, I reckon a road trip to WA to drag a EK Wagon home across the Nullabor would be quite interesting!
